I'm a bit late on posting this, but I didn't get to last week's Business Week until now. The cover was about the top 25 innovative companies. Was anyone able to find specifics about the methodology for selecting the companies? All I found was that it discusses a survey that went to senior managers. Thank you.

I read the article, and the longer version for the top 50 companies.   It was an opinion survey–the “senior managers” were asked what companies they considered most innovative, and there was no standard definition of innovation–just whatever that person's own criteria are.   That's probably why the article started with the discussion of whether the “innovation” word is getting over-used, losing meaning, etc.   Then they add to the problem by doing this article!   It doesn't help anyone understand innovation, or improve her/his company, or anything!!!!
