SUPPORT â€“ Sustainable Innovation Tools Project

The Industrial Liaison department at the University of Leoben in Austria is proud to announce the commencement of the SUPPORT project. The project â€“ funded by the EU Leonardo da Vinci initiative (Reference 1) â€“ is intended to generate education materials to encourage systematic innovation in the sustainability field. Partners involved in the project come from five different parts of the European
Community. They include:-
Â· Fraunhofer Institute in Aachen, Germany
Â· Joanneum Research in Graz, Austria
Â· CREAX from Ieper, Belgium
Â· AREA from Trieste, Italy
Â· University of Maribor in Slovenia
TRIZ is expected to play a significant role (Figure 1) in the achievement of the project objectives, offering the participants best practice systematic innovation capabilities in a structure that inherently points users in the direction of more sustainable technical and business solutions
The project has a duration of two years. The first pilot sustainable innovation training
courses will be running towards the end of the year.
