There are a bunch of contests being publicized these days from groups or companies trying to generate innovation from the general public. (Anyone else see the Al Gore/Branson announcement?) It seems like they're giving up. They can't solve their own problems so they outsource it?

Anyone else have other takes on things – or planning to submit their own entries?
