Genrich Saulovich Altshuller was born October 15, 1926 in Tashkent, and died September 24, 1998 in Petrozavodsk.

The author has assembled a timeline of the major events of the development of TRIZ to celebrate World TRIZ Day and Altshuller’s contributions.
