Recently, I was in a bit of a rut with my current research and it seems like I was too focused on trying to find the solution that I did not think of different ways of interpreting the problem. My recent exposure to TRIZ at the QSBIS re-sparked my creative problem solving. Even though engineers are great problem solvers, sometimes several years of education can narrow one's focus. I truly recommend this for all researchers. Thanks again.

I've actually been trying to apply TRIZ in a medical research situation. I've tried to find other examples of this type of work and mostly only found researchers who are working on medical devices using TRIZ.
Is anyone aware of other types of TRIZ use in more direct medical/biological research?

Bryan, the type/module of TRIZ, applicable to most of research processes, is Subversion Analysis. It was used successfully in biological and medical fields as well. I have used it in projects dealing with medical devices. With this module one can invert the issue from research to inventive type. For more info contact me at mbarkan9841charter.net
