Hi there, I'm pleased to see the impressively detailed response of Ellen to my query on whether Triz has generated fundamental innovations. Amongst other points, the self-growing bone replacement technology Ellen describes does sound like an important invention. At the same time, while I appreciate that some organizations may be reluctant to disclose use of Triz for fear of competitors adopting it, the notion of 'inventions behind the scenes which cannot be revealed' is one which lacks falseifiability. I don't mean it's not true; rather, there's no way to tell how many, and how profound, such innovations might be. Therefore, I think that *Only* publicly available information on Triz innovations can be considered as evidence in this case.
I look forward to more interesting discussions on this issue. All the best, and thanks again to Ellen for such a prompt and detailed response, Eric Sommer

Hello, Eric and friends:
See the December issue of The TRIZ Journal for the article by Mr. Kim at Samsung on the develpment of new products, addressed to people who think TRIZ is only applicable to improvements.
